about our classrooms

BABIES

Our babies classroom is for 3m – 12m. A storyteller comes by this room and speaks biblical truths, reads bible based stories, sings faith filled songs, and prays over each individual child.

We also care for them through diapering, snacks (when approved), play time with toys, etc.

ONES

Our ones classroom is for children 12m – 24m. A storyteller comes by this room and speaks biblical truths, reads bible based stories, sings faith filled songs, and prays over each individual child.

We also care for them through diapering, snacks (when approved), play time with toys, etc.

TWOS

Our twos classroom is for our two year old Voyagers. Along with the Voyagers storyteller, each Sunday our twos classroom has a bible story and prayer time.We also care for them through diapering, snacks (when approved), play time with toys, etc.

PRE-K

Children can move to our preK classroom after their 3rd birthday as long as they are fully potty trained. This class engages in worship, bible stories, prayer time, crafts and activities, snack time, and free time to interact together and build friendships.

K-5

Our elementary aged Voyagers are broken into two classes K-2 and 3-5. These classes engage in worship lead by a live worship team, bible story, prayer, activities, and free time.

Once a Voyager finishes 5th grade, they will grade up and transition into Voyage Youth House.

SENSORY ROOM
The sensory room is a welcoming, inclusive environment for children who might need more one-on-one attention because of a physical, mental, or emotional disability. Most of our sensory students are ages prek-5th grade, but we do have a case by case acceptance by our children’s pastors for children younger than pre-K age and older than 5th grade. In this room, children experience the presence of God, community, and absorb the Word of God. Each Sunday students have free time to play and engage with other children and teachers before worship. After worship, we follow a flexible schedule for our lessons!
All volunteers go through a Voyage training before going into the classroom. We also staff each Sunday with at least one professionally trained volunteer.
The sensory classroom joins older elementary in worship, unless it will not benefit the child. In that case, they are able to stay in the classroom with an adult and engage in worship on a smaller, quieter scale.
The sensory room teachers follow the preschool curriculum. This allows children of all ages to be able to engage and grasp what is being taught. We have a lesson script, activities, and sometimes a craft. We have flexible seating in the classroom to allow students to move/walk around during the lesson as needed.
If this is something your child would benefit from, please ask a Voyagers Crew member at check-in for a sensory room form to fill out for your child. We believe all Voyagers deserve a space to experience the presence of God.
